Found Anthracite Ring

Statement: I found this piece of worn-down Anthracite on the beach. I made the band with pmc clay which is a material composed of metal particles and an organic binder- after one models the piece, it is dried out, and fired with a torch to burn out the binder which allows the model to take form in metal. This was my first time using this material, so it was a test to see how much my model would shrink (which was more than I had anticipated). I loved how it caught my fingerprints and how the soft texture of the metal mimicked the smoothness of the anthracite, so they were a perfect fit despite being unplanned.
