Statement: The first time I came across dried silver dollars was when I was taking an early December morning walk. Upon first glance, I thought that they were leaves with a thin layer of frost, and after realizing that was just their translucence, I knew that I had to make a piece based off of them. I really wanted to capture their delicate essence (their weight, the way they reflect light, their movement, their sound, etc.).
